The Women in Building Recognition Award recognises women who have made a positive impact in the industry. The Award was established in 2007 by the Women in Building Group, and the Award is presented each year at the Master Builders Excellence in Building Awards.

Lauren Coates has worked in the Construction Industry across multiple disciplines for 20 years.
Lauren began her career in a structural steel drafting firm as a receptionist and office administrator, eventually moving into the mechanical engineering industry working in Document Control and Systems at various power stations around the country, before finding her niche in pre-contracts for the civil contractor Daracon Group.
Within her time in construction, Lauren has garnered the respect of those around her as a knowledgeable kind and encouraging mentor to other women within the industry, and a valued member of the Daracon Group.
