2026 celebrates 20 years of wibas

Twenty years ago, a group of women working across the Hunter’s building and construction industry came together with a simple idea: to create a place to connect, share experiences and support one another.

From that idea, WIBAS was born.

What started around a single table has grown into a vibrant community that has connected, supported and inspired people across our industry for two decades. Along the way, WIBAS has created opportunities, celebrated achievements, built lasting friendships and helped champion the important role women play in shaping our industry.

Our 20th Anniversary was a chance to bring that community together and celebrate just how far we’ve come.

It was incredibly special to reconnect with past and present members, hear from some of our Co-Founders, reflect on the stories and people who have shaped WIBAS, and look ahead to what comes next.

We were also thrilled to welcome Rhiannan Iffland for a very special Fireside Chat, sharing her story of courage, resilience, self-belief and what it takes to keep pushing yourself at the highest level.

But most of all, the night was about people. The friendships, connections, supporters and champions who have made WIBAS what it is today.

Twenty years of WIBAS. What a milestone. And what a night to celebrate it.
